This is my latest update to provide you with information about the impact of Coronavirus (Covid-19) on our community.
From today, Monday 27 September, outdoor pools in our community can open provided councils have a stringent COVID safety plan for each venue.
Please note that outdoor pool patrons are still subject to the existing rules on outdoor recreation and exercise including:
- Staying within five kilometres of home or within your local government area
- Exercising with only one other person for those who are unvaccinated or in groups of up to five people for those who are fully vaccinated.
Check with your local outdoor pool for availability and other conditions of entry.
At the Des Renford Leisure Centre in Maroubra, entry will only be permitted for residents of the Randwick LGA or people who reside within 5kms. Entry is subject to capacity limits and other conditions:

In another change in restrictions from today, face masks are not required to be worn for outdoor exercise in the Bayside LGA and other areas of concern.
Please note that you still need to carry a mask with you at all times.
