This is my latest update to provide you with information about the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our community.
The NSW Government has announced further restrictions for three new Local Government Areas (LGAs) including Bayside Council.
From 5pm today (Thursday, 12 August), Bayside along with the Strathfield and Burwood LGAs are to be included as “areas of concern”.
This means that if you are in the Bayside area, you will be required after this time to wear masks while outside and must only obtain food or other goods and services, and exercise, within 5km of your home.
Residents of Bayside will also not be permitted to leave your LGA for work unless you are an authorised worker. Please see the NSW Government’s page for a full list of authorised workers.
In the Bayside area, the suburbs of particular concern currently are Bexley, Banksia and Rockdale where additional cases have been identified overnight. However, please note that the new restrictions will still apply to all residents of the Bayside Council LGA.
Please see the NSW Government’s Local Government Areas of concern page for the full details and updates of the COVID-19 rules and restrictions that will apply to the Bayside LGA. This includes the reasonable excuses to leave home if you live in Bayside.
