This is my latest update to provide you with information about the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our community.
The NSW Government has announced the introduction of new restrictions for Greater Sydney (including Wollongong, Central Coast and Blue Mountains) that are in effect from midnight tonight (Wednesday 30 December) and will be in place until further notice. These changes include:
- Household gatherings will be limited to 5 visitors (including children).
- The limit for outdoor gatherings will be reduced from 50 to 30.
The NSW Government is encouraging people to limit non-essential gatherings over the New Year period where possible to further minimise the risk of transmission in the community.
NSW Health strongly encourages people to wear face masks indoors.
If you would like to seek clarification regarding the new rules and restrictions you can call Service NSW 24/7 on 13 77 88.
Residents of Greater Sydney and some parts of NSW are subject to interstate travel restrictions. I would encourage you to review the relevant state government’s website for the most up to date advice.
