This is my latest update to provide you with information about the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our community.
The NSW Government has announced the introduction of new restrictions that are now in place across Sydney. These changes include:
- Household gatherings are now limited to 10 visitors and will be in place until 11:59pm on Wednesday 23 December
- All indoor settings, including hospitality venues and places of worship, are now limited to the one person per four square metre rule
- A cap of 300 people for all hospitality venues and places of worship is in place with singing and chanting not allowed
- Dancefloors at all venues are banned, except for weddings where a maximum of 20 people from the bridal party are permitted
- There is now an active stay at home order for all residents of the Northern Beaches who were in the area at any time between Thursday 10 December 2020 at 12.01am and Saturday 19 December 2020 at 5.02pm
- You must not enter the Northern Beaches unless you have a reasonable excuse.
Please note that all of the new restrictions will be reassessed by the NSW Government and NSW Health on Wednesday 23 December.
Along with these restrictions, the NSW Government is asking that we do not visit aged care facilities unless it is critical in the lead up to Christmas Day.
Our community is also being advised to wear masks while visiting indoor venues outside of your home.
Sydney residents also now face travel bans or quarantine requirements across Australia after all States and Territories introduced new restrictions.
Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia have banned residents from our community travelling to their states. South Australia, Tasmania, ACT and the Northern Territory now require travellers from Sydney to quarantine for two weeks on arrival. My staff and I are here to help you.
