The NSW Government has announced a further easing of restrictions for gatherings in outdoor public spaces and group bookings at restaurants.
From Friday, 23 October 2020 the changes will mean that 30 people can gather outdoors in public spaces, while hospitality venues can take group bookings of 30 people. The four square metre rule between tables indoors, and the two square metre rule outdoors, still applies.
From Tuesday, 1 December 2020 the number of people allowed to attend weddings will also be lifted to 300 people subject to the same four square metre rule for indoors and two square metre rule for outdoors.
In addition, corporate functions of up to 300 people can now also be held at any appropriate premises, including at restaurants, subject to a COVID-Safe plan. Previously, this was only allowed at function centres.
We still need to do everything we can to ensure no further spread of COVID-19 in our community. Please maintain 1.5 metres between others and if you are sick or feeling unwell, stay at home and consult your GP.
