This is my latest update to provide you with information about the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our community.
The Queensland Government is closing its border to anyone from the Greater Sydney region effective from 1am on Saturday 1 August 2020.
Please make alternative arrangements if you had been planning to travel to Queensland after that date.
The changes affect residents of 31 local government areas in the Sydney region. Anyone from this region will not be allowed to enter Queensland after the change.
Any Queensland residents returning from Sydney will have to isolate in a hotel for 14 days at their own expense.
We still need to ensure no further spread of COVID-19 in our community. Please maintain 1.5 metres between others and if you are sick or feeling unwell, stay at home and consult your GP.
