COVID-19 Update No.19

Friday 17 July, 2020

This is my latest update to provide you with information about the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our community.

The NSW Government has introduced new rules for pubs that limits group bookings to 10 people and a cap of 300 people in a venue.

The new measures came into force at 12:01am on Friday 17 July 2020 and also require pubs to have a COVID Safe Hygiene Marshall to oversee social distancing, cleaning and hygiene at the venue.

All patrons on entry must provide their name and contact details accurately. The new changes are only for pubs and don’t apply to clubs or restaurants.

The NSW Government is also providing regular updates on the latest COVID-19 case locations and key dates for those in our community who may have attended any of the locations:

We still need to ensure no further spread of COVID-19 in our community. Please maintain 1.5 metres between others and if you are sick or feeling unwell, stay at home and consult your GP.

My staff and I are here to help you. Please call my office on 9349 6007, email matt.thistlethwaite.mp@aph.gov.au or reach me via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
