COVID-19 Update No.17

Wednesday 17 June, 2020

This is my latest update to provide you with information about the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our community.

The NSW Government has announced a number of changes as part of the further easing of COVID-19 restrictions.

From this Saturday 13 June 2020, the number of people allowed to visit homes will increase from 5 visitors to 20 visitors.

The number of people allowed to gather outdoors will also increase this Saturday from 10 people to 20 people.

Food courts will be allowed to open for sit-in customers from this Saturday with a maximum of 50 people per separate seated eating area.

A reminder also that from this Saturday, gyms along with yoga, pilates and dance studios can reopen with up to 10 people per class and 100 people in an indoor venue.

The NSW Government has also announced that adult community sport will restart from 1 July 2020.

This follows the earlier decision to allow kids’ sport and community sport competitions to restart on the same date for those aged 18 years and under.

Of course we still need to ensure no further spread of COVID-19 in our community. Please maintain 1.5 metres between others and if you are sick or feeling unwell, stay at home and consult your GP.

My staff and I are here to help you. Please call my office on 9349 6007, email matt.thistlethwaite.mp@aph.gov.au or reach me via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
