This is my latest update to provide you with information about the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our community.
Today marks the easing of more social restrictions by the NSW Government as part of a staged response.
As of 1 June 2020, restaurants, cafes and pubs can start serving up to 50 customers at one time but with social distancing measures still in force. Some larger venues, like clubs and RSLs, will be able to accommodate more than 50 people if they are seated in separate dining areas.
Also as of today, up to 20 people can attend weddings, 50 people at funerals and 50 people at places of worship, subject to the four square metre rule.
Personal care businesses such as beauty, waxing, tanning and nail salons will all be allowed to reopen but can only serve 10 customers at one time.
Libraries, museums and galleries are now also permitted to reopen but with restrictions on groups and tours. NSW residents are now able to holiday anywhere within the State as of today.
It is important to note that the rules about gatherings at home remain the same with a five visitor maximum per household at any one time, while there is a 10 people maximum for gatherings in public spaces.
We still need to help contain any further spread of COVID-19. Please maintain 1.5 metres between others and if you are sick or feeling unwell, stay at home and consult your GP.
