A re-elected Albanese Labor Government will invest $2 million to support the expansion of Jewish House in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, helping the vital crisis response service to double its capacity to support vulnerable people.
This election commitment will support Jewish House expand its current facilities in Bondi to include 12 self-contained units designed to meet the increasing demand for crisis response services and transitional housing in the community. This will support individuals and families in crisis offering them a pathway to long-term stability.
Jewish House has been a cornerstone of crisis response in the Eastern Suburbs for decades, providing intensive case management, psychological services, and early intervention programs to individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and socio-economic pressures.
This election commitment recognises the critical role of Jewish House in supporting vulnerable community members across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, regardless of background or circumstance.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
