This is my latest update to provide you with information about the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our community.
A reminder that some social restrictions will be eased as part of a staged approach starting tomorrow, Friday 15 May 2020.
In line with the NSW Government response, Randwick City Council has outlined the following changes that will take place in our community from Friday:
- Gathering in groups of 10 will be permitted outdoors at parks and beaches
- Beaches will be open for recreation and beachside car parks will be reopened
- Most ocean pools will open with a limit of 10 swimmers at a time
- Playgrounds will be open, but visitors urged to use caution and not gather in large groups
- Skate parks, outdoor gyms and basketball courts will be open
- The coastal walk will be opened in areas that have been closed off
- The Des Renford Leisure Centre outdoor swimming pool will be opened to only one person per lane and with bookings.
Of course, we still all need to help contain any further spread of COVID-19. Please maintain 1.5 metres between others and if you are sick or feeling unwell, stay at home and consult your GP.
